About The Video
This 6min. video was produced/directed and edited by Tribe Media Films owner and principal, Obie Varnado. The video, entitled "Yes", was shot at Chicago's beautiful lakefront in the fall of 2009. It was produced for recording artist Kalind Haynes, a former top ten contestant on BET's hit show "Sunday Best". The video production took two days to complete.
About The Artist
KALIND L. HAYNES is one of the world's best kept secrets, he has now caused the whisper to become a roar. The SECRET IS OUT! It was at church that he realized he could sing. At the tender age of six, he was in the congregation singing along with the choir when someone handed him the microphone. Kalind took the microphone without hesitation and has been singing ever since.

About the Project
In todays economy it's no surprise that music artist budgets have been cut. Record labels have been forced to cut their budgets too. This was a low budget project. Tribe Media Films was able to successfully create this dramatic video by putting our heads together and coming up with a rock solid concept that we knew would maximize our visual impact.

Obie Varnado is an award-winning, television news photojournalist based in Chicago. From the time he was a freshman at Columbia College Chicago, Varnado knew he wanted to tell stories using film. He has spent the past 25 years capturing national and international news stories.

Music Video Director, Obie Varnado's entry entitled "Yes" has been accepted by the 15 Minutes of Fame Film Festival. The acceptance of this festival marks the USA premier of the video. The video is scheduled on the program to kick of the festival on 7/9/10 at 6:15 PM in Palm Bay, Florida.

The World Music Independent Film Festival has accepted Tribe Media Films, Director Obie Varnado’s music video production entitled “Yes” featuring former BET "Sunday Best" top ten contestant Kalind Haynes. The video will be shown in the gospel music category. The festival will take place August 16-21, 2010 in Washington, DC.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Tribe Media Films, Director Obie Varnado will be hitting the film festival circuit to participate in panel discussions about filmmaking and the creative process. The 2010 film festival tours will continue throughout the year.
